Officially I am back into blogging. I stopped at a Burrito truck yesterday and realized that it was time, time to stop fretting over the fact that there are nothing but crappy Burritos in the NW and start searching again for something north of mediocre. I know I once had followers, proud supporters of the Burrito and all it stands for. Well I need you to rise up, grab your favorite tortilla wrapped, meat filled, spicy compadre and demand MORE. I am talking to you Taco Del Mar. YOU ARE THE DEVIL AND SHOULD BE PUT BACK TO THE DEPTHS OF HELL WHERE YOU CAME FROM.
Why am I so against Taco Del Mud, well first I work downtown in Seattle. And when you go to Google and search for a burrito in my immediate area you get this...
A Taco Del Mar. Well that is horrible. The Deli below my building does a "Burrito." The guy is of Hispanic decent so I give him a pass, but frankly it is the worst. WORST.
Anyway I am here to say, the search goes on, get ready cause I am HUNGRY and you know what I want.. BURRITOS

HOLY GUACAMOLE!!!!!
So I have honestly been scouring the internet in search of a photo that best represents the glory of the Burrito. Well through a colleague I was told of this place in Souther Cal.
As you see their sign is very similar to Michael Angelo's Sistene Chapel Mural, but what isnt known is that Mike Angelo actually wanted to go with the Guacamole paintin and not the more formal version but was denied. Here is why:
Little is known of this period in Mike Angelo's life, but it is known that he and Chris Columbus (or Squiggy as his friends called him) started to become good friends. Squiggy Columbus was still earning a living as a fisherman but was also a huge Art collector. At the time Mike Angelo (or M-Dogg) was selling his work in a small square near the port. Often Squiggy C would trade fish for art. One morning M-Dogg Angelo was just finishing a painting of the "Last Supper" and Chris Columbus stopped by to see him.
Well as was the reaction to this day, Chris Suiggy Columbus completely lost it and needed the painting. Since he had no fish and he only had his newest and greatest Burritatala (or Burrito) he traded it to Mike for a copy of the painting.
Well that was it for Michael Angelo and he spun into a burrito painting frenzy. The painting above was one of the only surviving painting from this era (most were burned by the French, stupid French.) But one has survived as seen above, please visit HOLY GUACAMOLE to see this work of art...

Holy guacamole is right, you can charge people who live by the beach just about anything!! Holy Guacamole has Mexican chefs, but something about it has “gringo owner” written all over it. Standing quietly at attention on Main St., it is a simple spot with fair tacos and a kind of cool, bare-bones set-up. A large mural depicts Earth’s first man receiving tacos from a caucasian Allah, something we can testify must have happened just so. Bottles of hot sauce with Satanic names are neatly stacked on wooden shelves, and local beach-bums and graphic designer types crowd the scant tables and cool bar where you can watch the grilling take place.

Fight the Burrito Fight vs Google.
For those who didn't see the top story on MSNBC or CNN last night, Google has announced their intention to enter the Burrito Business. Here is a short article:
Google Registers Weird Domain NamesPosted by Andrew Conry-Murray, Apr 24, 2008 10:27 AM
Is Google (NSDQ: GOOG) getting into the burrito business? Why else would the company register bayareaburritos.com and thesecretofburritos.com?
Pingdom sent me a link to a blog post about strange domain names registered by Google.
Many of the domains are obviously registered to prevent squatters, but a lot of them, such as the burrito domains, are downright puzzling.
That said, my home region of upstate New York sorely lacks a good burrito infrastructure. I'd love to see Mr. Page and Mr. Brin put some time and cash into finding a way to use the Internet to transport my favorite Mexican food from Berkeley to my desk via a Web browser.
And for the record, I hereby officially coin the acronym BaaS (Burritos as a Service).
I am no sure their intentions and I may listen to their overtures for buyouts, and will tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine (ie Seattle!) This is a Blog by the people for the people and will never change.

The best breakfast burrito in town is at the Sand Point Country Club. I was introduced to this perfect specimine of Burrtiotastic Lovin about a year ago by my good friends AJ and Alicia. Once I had it I was hooked, problem is you have to be a member of the club to eat there. In the end I joined the club cause I had to have access to the Burrito (oh and the golf isnt bad.)

WORST BURRITO EVER!!!!!
Where: Malena's on Queen Anne Hill.
What: Carne Asada Burrito w Guac
The Ambiance is similar to what you would expect from a top notch Burrito Establishment but alas this burssito sucked Donkey Dick. The steak was fried in lard and mixed with Green peppers and Onions. There was very little taste to speak of and the taste it did have was due to it being coated in butter. I resorted to covering it in salsa (which was actually pleasant) and using their costco brand La Victoria tortilla chips to make it edible.
Stay away from this second rate place. Oh and they didn't even have an option for grilled chicken , Communists
BURRITO RATING: 3 (Generous 3 cause I like their tacos)
Location: Bimbos Bitchin Burrito Kitchen
http://seattle.citysearch.com/profile/10798180
Bimbos is one of my favorite locations. The use of Grilled Chicken, fresh Guac and Letuce makes for one heck of a great base, but add Mashed Yukon Potatos and you have yourself a great mix.
Stay away from the Inferno Burrito cause it actually ruins the experience. I suggest the Kitchen Sink Burrito with Guac, cant beat it...
MMM Burrito.......................

Burrito Rating: 6.5

WELCOME to the BURRITO BLOG
I am a normal guy with a normal job but I have one passion in life... Burritos. Is there a better food then the Burrito? A meal wrapped in a edible wrapper filled with the greatest of ingredients, meat, cheese, veggies, beans, rice. What other food boasts such a perfect combination of ingredients in a take anywhere pouch.
I would say my life's work is the Burrito. I guess I would say I am somewhat of an expert when it comes to these lovely packages of food sent directly from the gods. To really understand the Burrito you first need to start from the beginning.
Many people believe that the Burrito started in Mexico, that is not the truth. Actually the Burrito started off the coast of Italy in Malta in the early 1400's. A young sailor named San Giovese Burritalia figured out an ingenious way to package his lunch so it would fit on his small fishing vessel. He pounded normal corn meal into a flat "tortialalia" and added different ingredients with starches and veggies. Soon all the fishermen in the fleet were inquiring about Sangioveses wonderful creation and he began selling them on the docks. It was there a young Christopher Columbus became enchanted by this bewitching food and eventually became the Godfather of the Burrito.
Many think that Columbus was looking for riches when he set off to prove his theory of the world. In reality he had come across some wonderful curries from the indies and used them to make a curried shrimp Burrito (Columbus actually coined the term Burrito after an argument over profit sharing with Sangiovese.) The taste and experience has been documented as one of the gratest moments of his life (well that and the finding of America, well BurrtoLand was what he originally called his new found land, but he later realized that was just plain silly.)
So in conclusion America (BurritoLand) owes its beginning to the Burrito. Columbus would never have gone on his journey if it weren't fueled by the Burrito Desire. This was the most significant moment in Burrito history, second only to the creation of this Blog...
